參加印度手繪工作坊令同學對少數族裔人士改觀,他們對印度裔教師的才華深表佩服,而從老 師親切和關心別人的言行中,也體會到少數族裔人士待人的熱情。至於在聖亞各福群會中心製 作花生糖的同學也有嶄新的體驗,一眾長者及婦女街坊為同學準備了各種有機的材料,讓他們 製作香脆可口的花生糖,使他們明白到社企的運作和意義。而同學們參觀懷舊復古的藍屋「土 作坊」,也可了解這家提供有機天然食品及進行自家加工生產的社會企業。總括而言,同學們 透過這次活動體會到社企為弱勢社群帶來不少幫助,因此也很支持社企的工作。

處理及包裝食品的過程,讓我們從中感受到濃濃的人情味。

YM Balloon
Another class participated in a balloon-arts production workshop organised by YM Balloon at the New Territories Centre of the Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong. A staff member from YM Balloon introduced the mission and services of YM Balloon, which are hiring people with hearing impairment and training them to become specialists in balloon-arts as well as offering various balloon-related services to society. Staff members taught us some basic sign language phrases in order to communicate with our balloon-arts instructor. We started making our balloon rabbit after the demonstration by the balloon-arts instructor. Although we could not twist the balloon into the correct shape on the first try, the instructor kept demonstrating and helping us step-by- step. He devoted his efforts to guiding us to finish the balloon rabbit. Finally, with the instruction given by the instructor, we successfully made our first balloon rabbit.
