She also reflected that ‘as a participant, my most noticeable change after joining the programme is the enhancement of my self-esteem. Going to King Ling College not only allowed me to step out of my comfort zone and add zest to my life, but it also strengthened me to face challenges in an unfamiliar place. I understood the differences in teaching style and was presented with an array of new activities which I had never experienced. I am thankful that I was also given a chance to be the school representative to deliver a speech during the Morning Assembly at King Ling College. This is definitely an unforgettable experience. The passion and friendliness of students from King Ling College quickly built the bond among the students of the two schools on the first day of the programme, and we got along extremely well.’
‘Although the exchange programme has
ended, we still maintain close contact with one another. The programme only lasted for four days, but the harmonious and joyous atmosphere of King Ling College can be felt deeply among us. The interactive lessons and the myriad of activities have impressed me most favourably. I am grateful to have had this once-in-a-lifetime experience.’
