Platinum Jubilee Admissions Talk
To allow prospective students and their parents to get to know St. Mark’s, the school culture and curriculum, two sessions of Admissions Talk were held on 7th December 2019.
Ms. NGAN, Principal, commenced the event by giving the guests a warm opening. She emphasised that the school offered an all-round development to students cultivating their character and academic performance. Students are equipped with the ability to be self-critical and self-discipline in their studies and behaviour reflecting the school motto "Straightway", and they should be truthful to others and be ready to take up responsibilities and act immediately.
Afterwards, Mr. HO, Vice Principal, elaborated on the features of the school’s academic programme, ranging from Form 1 Bridging Course to school- based support programme. Career and life planning activities also played an important role. They included Careers Day, Job Shadowing and Workplace Visits. To widen students’ experience, myriads of internal and external activities were organised by the subject departments such as International Mathematics Modeling Camp, Geography Field Trips and Study Tours to Pearl River Delta, etc. STEM Education was seen more prominent through in-class and outside classroom activities and exposure.
Five student parties shared with the audience their feelings and experiences in Drama, Chinese Debate, Science and Music.
